We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and motivated Water Treatment Engineer to join our growing team. This role involves the cleaning, flushing, and treatment of water systems in accordance with industry standards, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and delivering high-quality service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out flushing and cleaning of closed water systems in accordance with BSRIA BG 29/2021 guidelines.
  • Perform chlorination of domestic hot and cold water services (H&CWS), including internal tank cleaning, in line with relevant British Standards and ACOP L8.
  • Take water quality samples from site and ensure proper transportation to the laboratory for analysis.
  • Accurately complete job sheets, sampling records, and system logbooks.
  • Work in accordance with approved RAMS and schedules agreed upon with the client.
  • Liaise with site teams, engineers, and stakeholders to coordinate works effectively.
  • Identify issues and report any non-conformances or risks to the management team.
  • Ensure safe and compliant use of chemicals and equipment in all water treatment processes.
  • Support training of junior or assistant engineers where required.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in water treatment engineering, including system flushing, chlorination, and sampling.
  • Good understanding of BSRIA, British Standards, and HSE guidance relating to water hygiene.
  • Familiarity with closed loop heating and cooling systems and domestic water services.
  • Ability to interpret system schematics and follow method statements.
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
  • Relevant water hygiene or L8 training (desirable but not essential).
