We are looking for dedicated and experienced Service Engineers to join our growing team. This role involves carrying out essential inspection, testing, and cleaning services on ventilation and fire safety systems, ensuring full compliance with current legislation and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with fire damper testing, ductwork cleaning, and kitchen extract system maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform fire damper inspection and functional testing in accordance with BS 9999:2017 and HTM 03-01 guidance for healthcare settings.
  • Carry out Ventilation Ductwork Cleaning works in compliance with BESA TR19, BS EN 15780, and HTM 03-01 standards.
  • Undertake TR19-compliant kitchen extract cleaning, ensuring the removal of grease and contaminants to reduce fire and hygiene risks.
  • Complete detailed service reports and checklists, ensuring accurate documentation of all works carried out.
  • Work in accordance with approved RAMS and service schedules agreed upon with the client.
  • Liaise with site teams, supervisors, and clients to ensure clear communication and minimal disruption during service works.
  • Ensure safe handling and use of all equipment and cleaning products in line with company procedures.
  • Report any defects or non-compliances to the management team promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and professional working environment at all times.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in ventilation hygiene, fire damper testing, and extract system cleaning.
  • Good understanding of BS 9999, BESA TR19, BS EN 15780, and HTM 03-01 standards.
  • Valid CSCS card, PASMA/IPAF certification, or other relevant qualifications (desirable).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate reports and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
  • Knowledge of healthcare environments (NHS or private) is an advantage.
